Re-Rentable: So I Married An Axe Murderer.
Sister and I revisited this slice o' comedic genius last weekend. It is my favorite comedy of all time. This was the Mike Myers fresh off of the blush of SNL, Post Wayne's World, pre-Austin Powers. It is perfection. Take Charlie Mackenzie, a son of Scottish parents living in San Francisco in the nineties. He loves the ladies, but fears commitment. Right when he gets close to a woman, he finds something wrong with them and retreats. "She smelled exactly like vegetable beef soup." Mix in a brother with a big head, a flirtatious mom, and a conspiracy theory believing father, and you've got So I Married An Axe Murderer. Make it a Blockbuster night for this one.
