Last Moments.

I found a gorgeous creature on my run yesterday.  It was taking in it's last few moments on this earth.  The vivid set of wings fluttered only slightly.  It was a quiet, solemn exchange that I felt fortunate to share with a humble butterfly.  I hope it felt comforted by my presence as it slipped into another realm.

me gusta!

After finding this little gem, I decided I needed one too.
I asked Mr. Yazzie to make me one someday.
He said, "Okay, I can do that." Aren't you dying?
You can buy one right {HERE.}

How In The Hades?

How can I make my red lipstick last longer?
I'm glad you asked! Because I just figured out the secret.
Here's what you do:

  • Invest in quality lipstick. Are you pale? Use mine: Mac Viva Glam Line A-8.
  • Buy a drug store, long lasting liner. I have Revlon's Color Stay Lip Liner in red.
  • Powder your lips with loose powder.
  • Line your lips then fill in completely with the liner. {This is key to your success!}
  • Apply your lipstick.
  • Blot and check your teeth for good measure.
  • Enjoy looking sassy!

Elizabeth Taylor.

Dear Elizabeth Taylor,

In short, you are magnificent. In my opinion you are the most gorgeous female the world has ever known. Marilyn Monroe was pretty, but she became immortal because she died young. That's the key to becoming immortal-DON'T AGE! But Liz, may I call you Liz? Liz, I think you trump everyone because you have grown old, and have maintained a state of dignified grace, class, and personal style. Liz, I love your perseverance, your violet eyes and of course your diamonds.

Yours Truly,
Ashley

The Brilliance of Henry Darger.

Three years ago I saw a brilliant/fascinating
documentary entitled, IN THE REALMS OF THE UNREAL.
the story of self-taught painter Henry Darger.

{Rent it if you haven't already.}
His paintings, and personal story
will bring a burning spark of joy into your life.
And perhaps you too will want to become a Vivian Girl.
