Ramsey's Art Show.
I cannot conceive my weekend. It reminded me of the event calendars that only exist in SEX AND THE CITY. I was engaged to soirees that felt like the sort of "adult galas," I've always wanted to attend. You know? Friday night Bryan and I went to an opening for Generic Man Shoes teaming up with Obey Propaganda. It's always interesting to see the cool kid types that show up for those events. Plus, as souvenirs they screen printed rad posters on site....which I gladly took home. Afterwards we had dinner with friends and laughed about nonsense.
Saturday evening was the most fun I've had in such a long time. My friend Ramsey had his big deal art opening. His work is currently showing at The Ballard Gallery of Echo Park. His collection is clever, unfussy, and fresh. There were mobs of people in attendance to support him. Bryan and I actually split up to work the room because there were so many lovely people to hug and visit with. It was such an exciting evening, and I'm so very proud of Ramsey. We joyfully purchased one of his paintings. I cannot wait to have it in my home. Hip-hip hooray for Ramsey Robinson!
