I found a gorgeous creature on my run yesterday. It was taking in it's last few moments on this earth. The vivid set of wings fluttered only slightly. It was a quiet, solemn exchange that I felt fortunate to share with a humble butterfly. I hope it felt comforted by my presence as it slipped into another realm.
